Hand Carved Soapstone Elephant

 This is a beautifully hand carved Elephant figurine, and it is carved out of Soapstone. This Soapstone is a golden brown and grey color, and the Elephants eyes are a bright ocean blue.  An elephant with the trunk up is considered to be lucky.  Soapstone can be found in a number of different colors, as a result of the minerals that have mixed with it. Green and pink soapstone is very common in China, and black soapstone can be found in Russia.   NOTE: Soapstone is not toxic. Soapstone meaning - it is considered to have a balancing effect.  Approximate Measurements: 4.5 inches tall, 4 inches long, and 2 inches wide.
