Micro Hike: The Tiny Collection WalkAges 6+ (Parent attendance required at no additional fee) This isn’t your typical hike—it’s a micro hike. We’ll move slowly, stop often, and pay attention to the small, beautiful details most people miss. Each participant will receive a tiny vial to carry along the trail. As we explore, they’ll carefully collect a few nature treasures that fit inside—maybe a fallen petal, a seed, a piece of bark, or something unexpected. Along the way, we’ll practice observing like naturalists: Noticing patterns, textures, and colors Listening for birds and movement Looking for signs of life all around us Asking questions and following curiosity We’ll also talk about respectful collecting—only taking what’s already fallen and leaving plenty behind. By the end, each child will have a small, personal “field sample” to take home—a reminder of what they noticed when they slowed down.
