My Hummus Story As far back as I can remember, hummus has been a part of my life. Growing up in Israel, I ate hummus on a daily basis and have been making it myself since I was a teen. When I was fifteen, I started working at a restaurant in a nearby town. It was there that I learned how to make hummus for the very first time. Since then, I have built on and refined the recipe, making it a staple at every restaurant I worked at and earning multiple awards, including for "Best Hummus" in NYC three years in a row.
