Introduced in 2012 from the University of Washington, the Puget Spice Apple is much smaller than its parents, the Prima and Alkemene. The apple is ping-pong ball in size and is primarily used for cider production. It is high in tannic acid and can be used as s single apple cider.  Its other defining characteristics is its disease resistance. It is immune to Apple Scab and very resistant to powdery mildew.
