Attach the Funnel/Applicator (Required) to the top of the jar and shake the dry RootX product back and forth between jar & funnel for approximately 1 minute. This ensures that you have a proper mixture of the two components of RootX so that you will get maximum foam generation. The foam is what applies the active ingredient of RootX to the roots and pipe walls. Hint: 4 lbs. of RootX will generate too much foam to flush down a toilet. Use a sewer line cleanout for an application of RootX of 4 lbs. or more. After applying the 4 lbs. jar into the sewer cleanout, rapidly pour four 5-gallon buckets of water to carry the foam down the lateral line. Avoid water use for 4 to 6 hours after the RootX application. Note: After mixing the RootX formula the reaction of the two components eliminates using half a jar and storing the rest for later use.  RootX jars are packaged and designed for single applications!
