Foundation Coat

A coat like a concrete column.  The Foundation, inspired by the simple but refined beauty of Brutalist architecture, provides a safe haven from the harsh world outside.  A columnar collar keeps the wearer protected from the elements, but can also be worn down or totally open.  Magnetically sealed pockets are positioned by the wearer's hands for easy access, while inside are large zippered pockets big enough for a magazine or tablet, with smaller organizing pockets inside to store headphones, a phone, or passport.  At the base is a zippered vent: keep it closed for increased warmth and protection, open it for ventilation and mobility.  The coat is cut to fit over our jackets and overshirts, providing a balance between mobility and a flattering, elegant silhouette.  Available in either Ventile, a waterproof cotton fabric, or a soft and warm wool and nylon blend, the Foundation will be your constant companion no matter what the elements throw at you.   **shown in Ventile in Black Navy **p
