Mulberry Mug

Mulberries! Berries in various stages of ripeness float around the outside of this mug with a few mulberry leaves. The outlines of the berries and leaves were drawn with an exacto knife and colored with slip inlay. I used unglazes to color the images.  White clay, slip inlay, black underglaze, colored underglaze, green interiour glaze, clear exterior glaze. Cone 6 electric. 3 1/4" x 4" ~ 15oz. My work is meant to be used so machine washing and microwaving are ok, but to extend the life of the product handwashing and light microwaving is best (ex. 20-30 seconds to reheat coffee).
