Golden Monkey Black

2016 is the year of the monkey. So we picked this special tea in celebration of Lunar New Year, which falls on 2/8 this year. Golden Monkey is a fully oxidized black tea that's grown at high altitudes. Due to the rarity of the tea, in ancient times, the Taipans claimed that this tea provided them with agility and sexual powers. The tips of the tea leaves are bright and golden, and brew into a smooth, deep red and orange infusion. This tea has a complex earthy flavor and a subtle sweet finish. Black tea helps to increase energy and alertness. The antioxidants in black tea help to protect cell damage, prevent cancer, and lower risks of conditions such as diabetes, heart attacks, high cholesterol, etc.
