A rare and charming pair of 19th-century English Staffordshire Pekingese dogs, complete with glass eyes and beautifully hand-painted detailing. Though slightly more whimsical than their regal Spaniel cousins, these pups were no less beloved in Victorian homes. Crafted circa 1880, they feature fine molded coats, warm caramel accents, and signature expressions that Staffordshire figures are prized for. While they may bear a few small flaws—including a nick to one ear and typical firing irregularities—they remain solid, display beautifully, and continue to tell their story with pride. As with most early Staffordshire, the figures are unmarked, having been made by small regional potteries throughout the English countryside.
