4 to a package (2 of each tree shape) Use them to save threads when you separate them. Add 6 strand to one section and then separated threads 2 strands and 1 strand to other sections of the trees. I had several requests for different shaped Thread Savers than the originals, so I have designed a new sets in the shaped trees. I felt that it would reflect my many samplers that include trees. They also make cute Christmas ornaments or gift for a friend who stitches!
