The River's Edge Headband
Somehow this pattern sat as a draft for over a year after testing…. I’m now bringing it to you in hopes that it brings joy to someone this winter! This headband was inspired by a trip down to San Antonio’s River Walk! As someone who has always been inspired and influenced by the water, I felt right at home in a city that was built on the river’s edge. It reminded me of the way settlements would pop up along the edges of waterways, or on islands, and I wanted to capture that in this design. The pattern has been tested by wonderful knitters and is easy to read and understand - a basic knowledge of cabling (or willingness to google/youtube it) and increasing/decreasing is necessary. It works up fast, and uses relatively little yarn. A 20” headband takes just 90-100 yds. It is ideal for worsted weight / Medium 4 weight yarns.
