The total organization is small with just 30 members, all of whom belong to the Mam Mayam indigenous community, with Mam still being the predominantly spoken language. The Association owns a communal wet mill where most of these producers process their coffees and has a shared lab where they make their own organic fertilizers. The members used to bulk their parchment together and sell locally to co-ops that paid the market rate, but due to distance, long turnaround times for payment, and very low prices, the members began searching for other ways to sell their coffee.
