Region: Sierra Sur, Oaxaca, MexicoProcess: WashedVariety: GeshaAltitude: 1700 maslWe Taste: Papaya, Passionfruit, Rose Maria's gesha comes from San Vicente Yogondoy within the Sierra Sur region of Oaxaca. The farmers here are mostly indigenous Zapotec; many of them are under the age of 30 with young coffee trees as well. The farmers primarily grow Pluma, but we were fortunate to have the chance to purchase a gesha separation from a single producer from this year's harvest.  Though Maria's coffee is washed and only undergoes a short 18-24 hours of fermentation in wooden tanks, it is quite fruit forward and tropical. It has a waxy, rose-like floral quality and is underpinned by a molasses-like sweetness.  Our Total Cost: coming soon Packaging, labor, and weight loss: coming soonGreen Price: $10.25/lbFOB Price:  $7.48/lbFarm Gate Price: 188 mx pesos/kg Importer: Red Fox *We roast on Tuesdays and ship the following day; order deadline is 7:00 am Tuesday morning; local pick-up orders will
