These three young smallholder producers are members of a small group of coffee producers from the Nahuas indigenous community in Mexico. After years of migrating north for seasonal agricultural work, these producers invested their savings to renovate old coffee farms and planted the rust resistant variety Costa Rica 95, hoping that they'd be able to improve their quality of life and create a sustainable income. After acquiring equipment and receiving training on processing through the Rural Development Secretariat in 2020, the group participated in the Pride of Puebla competition for the first time in 2021.
