Ringsby included his company name in the logo and changed the name to Rockets, the company's best-selling truck model. During the 1968 season, Lonnie Wright left the football Broncos and joined the Rockets where he would stay for four seasons. Following the 1972 season, Ringsby sold the team and it played its final season as the Rockets in 1973-74. The following season, the team name was changed to Nuggets as rumors of a pro basketball league merger swirled.
