Despite making the playoffs in 2002, the team moved to Las Vegas in 2003. The initially strong attendance began to dwindle after a few seasons in Vegas, however, and the team once again moved in 2008, this time to Cleveland where the legendary and popular Bernie Kosar was part of the local ownership group. The team had a solid run but was forced to suspend operations due to arena renovations after the 2017 season. When the team was ready to return, the league had folded and the Gladiators eventually shut down as well.
