The team was made up mostly of players who had played college football in Minnesota, most notably former Golden Gopher signal caller Rickey Foggie. Kicker Mike Vanderjagt, who did not play college ball in Minnesota, was the team’s kicker. Their head coach was Ray Jauch, who spent many years in the same position with several Canadian Football League teams, as well as two with the Washington Federals of the original United States Football League.
