The Crawfords are recognized as one of the greatest teams of it's era. As a result of the team's success, the team was one of the few to own it's own stadium; Greenlee Field. In 1937, following back to back championships, many of the team's star players including 3 future hall of famers left to play in the Dominican Republic. The team never recovered and after declining attendance the team moved twice and finally folded in 1940.
