There’s a lot to enjoy with this easy-sipper. Its sweet palate gracefully transforms into a more toasted and spicy affair that nicely presents a contrasting tasting experience. In addition, despite being 90 proof, the whiskey has good intensity and its flavors are well presented before it ramps up the heat during its finish. What it lacks in wow factor it makes up for in a solid delivery that justifies its $50 asking price. It’s worth noting that despite this being sourced from Tennessee  - where one wouldn’t be blamed for automatically concluding it's from George Dickel - the mash bill doesn't line up, adding an interesting level of intrigue about this whiskey’s true origins.
