D&D 5e Desert of Desolation Campaign, with House GM Jim on Saturday, July 13th and 27thth, from 5pm to 10pm, 6 Seats Maximum
Greetings all and welcome to "The Desert of Desolation" campaign. The campaign will be a 5th edition D&D conversion and expansion of the classic modules, i-3 Phaora, i-4 Oasis of the White Palm, and i-5 Tomb of Martek that were combined and re-published in 1987. I have expanded the surrounding region and added content to ensure that the adventure is fresh and exciting, while adhering to the original story and content. Session 1 will be Saturday, May the 4th (be with you...) 5-10pm, and will continue every other Saturday afterwards (May 18th, June 1st, etc.). Tickets will need to be booked here, and this will be a public game with "Open Booking". A few notes before you book your ticket: 1) This campaign will start at 4th level, and will have "some" restrictions on races and classes. A major facet of this campaign will be the "Stranger in a Strange Land" aspect, and accounting for the harsh environments and survival aspects of the classic setting are part of the challenge.2) This game will require some 5th edition knowledge; starting at level 4 and playing in a hostile world will be challenging, and this might not be an ideal "learn to play" environment.3) This campaign will require the group to have good chemistry and cohesion (as players). There is no backup, there is no DM shielding, there is no "my backstory lord will save us" - this game will be the party, alone in an Egyptian-themed setting struggling to end a curse and save the region.4) I will do my best to keep the sessions "episodic", but there might be challenges for drop in, drop out play. I 100% understand that life happens, but the pace and design of the campaign should be mentioned. 5) Please indicate your game "rating" regarding language, violence, roleplay and the like; the standard expectations set forth by RPGDungeons will be enforced, and any additional safety measures will be applied at your request. 6) Character creation information and dndbeyond links will be provided in the discord campaign channel, along with reference materials and other information.
