Mama Bear and Trowzee

Bunny Bio Mama Bear was rescued with her male companion, Papa Bear, after reports came in of two stray bunnies who were missing ears and a tail. Concerned these injuries were recent and in need of medical attention, we organized an emergency rescue mission to get them in right away. When they arrived, we found that Mama Bear was missing both ears and her tail, while Papa Bear was missing half of one ear. We also found that Mama Bear had a bulging and wiggly belly. Two days later she birthed nine beautiful babies. We can’t be certain what happened to Mama Bear and Papa Bear’s ears and tail, but we speculate that their own mama must have chewed them off at birth. They are far too friendly and unafraid of people to have been victims of animal abuse of such magnitude. Mama Bear also struggled with some significant health problems shortly after her babies were born, but she is now well and healthy and cleared for adoption.
