(10) Under Hood, Fender or Trunk Bolts For: Ford, Lincoln or Mercury 1960 - 1974 5/16”-18 x 1” long with Extra Thick Washers Grade 18-8 Stainless Steel     These are very useful bolts that can be used during the restoration of a 1960s or early 1970s Ford Motor Company product.     Each piece of our under hood bolt set is made of grade 18-8 stainless steel (18% chromium & 8% nickel) to prevent rust forever.     Washers that are included in this set are very heavy duty, 1/8” (.125 inch) thick x ¾” diameter. They are almost as thick as three normal thickness washers which measure .141 in a stack of three. These washers are NOT attached to the bolts.     You can buy zinc plated bolts for less, but it is only a matter of time until rust will appear.     You may think that you could locate similar bolts locally and that may be true.
