Each card features original artwork by Rubina Kazi. This new series features cards inspired by the Alhambra - Granada The Alhambra was designed in the Thirteenth century to house the court of the Nasrid Kingdom, the only Muslim dynasty based in the Iberian Peninsula. The Alhambra of Granada is the most dazzling palatine city I have seen, it incorporates a unique integration of architectonic spaces with decorative, artistic and ornamental elements. The diverse spaces are complex with plain exteriors and intricately decorated interiors. Designs include coffered ceilings, tile-work, epigraphs and plasterwork that apply a very complex iconographic program to highlight the harmony of the surroundings. This series is my humble effort at recreating a tiny version of this Masterpiece of Artistic perfection - The ALHAMBRA.
