Both coffees come from longstanding cooperative systems that prioritize quality, transparency, and equitable profit-sharing among smallholder farmers. One component comes from the Kigwandi Factory, part of the Mutheka Cooperative, which supports nearly 850 producers—most tending small plots with just a few hundred coffee trees. The other half of the blend comes from the Rukira Factory, a member of the larger Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society, representing over 14,000 farmers across 19 factories.
