Boswell 1937 Advanced Jumbo Plus (AJ-B+) Brazilian rosewood, Shaded top
Built by one of our favorite luthiers, Arthur "Butch" Boswell, in his shop in Bend, Oregon. The inspiration for this model was an actual vintage Gibson Advanced Jumbo from 1937 that Rudy had acquired. He urged Butch to make a copy as close to spec as he could, and Butch brilliantly delivered. The result is a modern-day vintage throwback, built with even greater precision and craftsmanship than the original. This is the AJ-B+. The 'Plus' indicates a custom Brazilian rosewood package: the back and sides, fingerboard, peghead overlay, bridge, and truss rod cover are all from the same board. All Boswell guitars come with a hand-written spec sheet and deluxe hardshell case.
