Carlo Greco 1992 Chief Star w/DiMarzio X2N Power Plus PU's
A unique opportunity to own a very special piece of New York's archtop history! This guitar is a one-of-a-kind piece made by the famed 48th street luthier and repairman, Carlo Greco. Carlo's work at Guild guitars cemented his reputation as a fine instrument builder, however his later builds, branded with his own name, have catapulted him to the very top level of excellent guitar building. Carrying on with traditions set forth by the likes of Epiphone and D'Angelico, Carlo's guitars represent the amazing work being done right here in New York, and this unique example is no exception. The "Chief Star" is a very unique model, even among Carlo's many one-off builds. This guitar's top, back, sides, and neck are made from stunning, heavily-flamed maple. Even the pickguard is made of gorgeous flamed maple! Complete with multi-ply binding on the neck and body, Carlo added mother of pearl and abalone inlays throughout the fret and a beautiful treble clef in the headstock. Specs: -Back and side
