Antique Baktiary Area Rug (6' x 10')

Dimensions: 6'9" x 10'0" (206 cm x 305 cm). Circa: 1930. Colors: black, blue, brown, burlywood, dark slate gray, gray, light gray, light slate gray, off-white, orange, pink, red, silver. The Baktiary is a tribe located in western Iran. They produce colorful geometric rugs often with a compartment design filled with stylized floral motifs or bold medallions. The village rugs are woven on a cotton foundation with the nomadic pieces on a woolen foundation.
