Antique Kerman Area Rug (9' x 12')

Dimensions: 9'0" x 12'3" (274 cm x 373 cm). Circa: 1940. Colors: black, blue, brown, dark gray, gray, light gray, off-white, orange, pink, silver, snow, white, whitesmoke. Kerman is a city and province located in south east Iran. They have been making rugs there since the Safavid period. Major production began in the late nineteenth century with most Kerman rugs being exported to America. They have floral patterns and more often with a central medallion.
