October Flowers No.9

Each year I attend one of my favorite events of the year, Antiques at the Gardens at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Drawing antique dealers, designers and tastemakers from a round the world, it’s truly a full sensory delight, filled with SUCH BEAUTY.  I am fortunate to be invited at the end of the show to salvage the flowers and give them a brief second act inside my atelier, where I paint them for days on end until they finally drop their heads.  This collection of 9 floral paintings is the body of work created spontaneously from these beautiful flowers.  6x8” acrylic paintings and wax pastel on paper unframed 2025 *You can watch a personal tour of the Antiques at the Gardens, HERE on my YouTube channel.
