This is a finely Hand Knotted Persian Rug. It has a natural pile of Wool fibers, on a cotton foundation. A beautiful Traditional Meshad design in an intricate Medallion pattern. Note the vine-work throughout the field, encompassing floral elements and leaf patterns. The intricate border is a beautiful example of Persian craftsmanship, and is one of the most interesting parts of this rug. Woven in Iran, the dominant colors are Blue and Red.
