“The forest is fightin’ back, I tell ya,” reports the logging mech captain in a burning rage. He stands there wide-eyed and shaking uncontrollably like he had just seen his great memaw’s ghost, but his employer Boone Winslow, one of the superintendents for the Railroad Company, simply stares back in disbelief. With one brow raised, Mr. Winslow reaches over his leg resting atop the desk chair and begins to scribble words across a dimly lit piece of parchment.
