Autumn Clouds Pastel on Paper Autumn Clouds, 2024 pastel on paper Artwork : 13.5”x 19.5” Framed in white solid oak frame, plexi glass  Frame is 16 x 20 In this body of work, I am looking at light and layering of shapes in clouds and landscape. My goal is to capture the light, wonder, and ethereal feeling of one looking into the clouds. My work process is to cut and tear paper stencils in abstract shapes to create layers of flat color with chalk pastels. I use stencils to deliberately remove my hand from the work. These cloudscapes span Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Pennsylvania rolling hills, and Flaming Gorge, Utah.
