This penstemon has tubular flowers enjoyed by butterflies and hummingbirds. The leaves form a dark green rosette that looks good all year. Consider using it as a groundcover, especially along walkways. Penstemon digitalis has white flowers. Penstemon tenuis has purple flowers.  Keep it well-watered if planted in sun.
