Made during the Edo Period (150-400)  years ago, this rugged tanto is wide, thick, and weighty. Kanmuri-Otoshi construction is not common, featuring the thinning spine towards the tip. The fuchigashira feature the yajiri arrowhead theme. Habaki is silver-foiled. See last pics for wear and tear on the battle mounts.
