VARIANT 1: COLOR PANELS The original design of Shea Stadium featured these floating panels in New York Mets colors. This retro 60s design was removed in the 1980s and were thrown in a dumpster and brought to a landfill. Clearly the sports collectible market was not as advanced as it is now, or they would have brought a good chunk of change from Mets fans.
