Shown with life size hand model for scale.  CREATOR Boston & Lockport Block Co.  DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1850-1930. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Steel. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. HISTORY The Boston and Lockport Block Company, established in 1887 was a key manufacturer of maritime rigging pulleys, specifically tackle blocks, and their products included wooden and metal components.
