ABOUT This is an original leather wrapped Cine-Kodak Model K movie camera with a pop up viewfinder and leather handle. This camera has retained its original finish. The camera may or may not operate. We are selling it as decorative only. CREATOR Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, N.Y. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1930-1946 MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Leather, Metal. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. DIMENSIONS H 6 in. W 9.5 in. D 2.25 in. HISTORY The Cine-Kodak was the first 16mm camera, introduced in 1923. The first prototype was a leather covered rectangular wooden box, which evolved into a final cast aluminum box approximately 8.5" by 5" by 3", and was cranked by hand at two turns per second to achieve the necessary 16 frames per second.
