After a detailed Altitude diving briefing, divers will complete two dives under the supervision of a PADI Altitude Diving instructor. Divers must complete the altitude diving section of the advanced open water manual or eLearning prior to the dives. Lake Tahoe is cold water diving. It can be completed in the same wetsuit as one would dive in Monterey. Since there is no way west out of Lake Tahoe without crossing a pass, divers must wait a minimum of 6 hours after diving and be DCS symptom free before leaving the Tahoe basin. Staying overnight after diving is recommended.
