 We will be completing 5 dives over two days including a night dive. Divers must complete the following sections of the advanced open water manual or eLearning prior to the dives: Altitude Night Deep Navigation Boat Recommended: Peak Performance Buoyancy  Includes 2 Boat Dives on the Underwater Maritime Heritage Trail  Lake Tahoe is cold water diving. It can be completed in the same wetsuit as one would dive in Monterey. Drysuits are also popular.  Surface temps can be up to 70° in the summer, but don't let that fool you. Lake Tahoe has incredible thermoclines. At depth the water will be easily as cold as Monterey, or colder. Divers must arrive at altitude no later than Saturday morning for Saturday afternoon diving in order to acclimate to altitude. Since there is no way out of Lake Tahoe without crossing a pass, divers must wait a minimum of 6 hours after diving and be DCS symptom free before leaving the Tahoe basin.
