Our Lady of Guidance Icon Print

An Iconographic depiction of the Filipino devotion to Our Lady. The original, miraculous statue, made from local molave wood, was initially enshrined in the Manila Cathedral within Intramuros but was later moved to its current location at the Ermita Church due to a vision in 1606. This move was accompanied by reported miracles, like the statue's light guiding ships at night, reinforcing her role as a guide. In 1955, the statue was canonically crowned by the Papal Nuncio, further embedding her significance in the religious life of the Philippines. This icon captures her beautiful robes, jeweled scepter, crown and halo, set against a textured gold background.
