Originally from the traditional African music of the Sub-Saharan continent, Kalimba is a form of lamellophone. It was especially common among the Chewa and Tumbuka in Malawi. Several slats are attached to a resonator and plucked with fingers. Its sound is warm, soft and gentle and it has a relaxing effect on its listeners. It can be played alone, but also blends harmoniously into the playing of other instruments.  The Kalimba by MAGADI Moon Tunings not only sound as light as a feather, but is also just as easy to learn for everyone and playable without previous knowledge. The handy musical instrument has tuned scales from which you can create wonderful melodies.   *Will not ship overseas at this time. The HOKEMA Sansula Basic is a further developed form of the Kalimba and is made by hand in Germany from European beech. The skin is a plant-based cellulose fiber.  Tropical wood is not used, and the surfaces are treated with vegetable linseed oil. The instrument is packaged and shipped
