This short stainless steel shaft was removed off a Pearson 31 sailboat. It is 31 3/4” total length (this is from bottom of cupping to top of shaft. The shaft is a tapered key style. The base by cupping is 1 1/4” diameter. The shaft is 1 1/4” diameter till where you see the key insert. The very top of shaft where you insert the key is 1”. The key hole is 3 1/4” long x 5/16” wide.
