This Sevastopol-found Crimean War button dates ca.1855, and ostensibly was part of the regimental piper's uniform. It's 2 cm per side. The shank is intact. Button was fabricated by Gilpin. Condition is quite good. This button is a good memory from the brave 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders) Regiment of Foot of the Thin Red Line fame.
