If you could choose only ten buildings to bring with you to a deserted island, what would they be?  These are Eisenman's, and he explains in great detail and depth why they should be yours too.  This book is the finest example of Eisenman's incisive formal analysis of architecture, which he first developed in his 1963 PhD dissertation, "The Formal Basis of Modern Architecture". Eisenman very closely reads the 10 buildings and uses diagrams, photographs, drawings, and texts to demonstrate his findings. Pages are clean, crisp, and like-new. Boards have very minor wear to edges and corners. Jacket has edge and corner wear, as well as very minor rubbing. Near fine book in good jacket. Very good + overall. The 317 illustrations feature original beautiful analytical diagrams of each project. The 10 canonical buildings are : Luigi Moretti, Casa "Il Girasole," 1947-50 Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Farnsworth House, 1946-51 Le Corbusier, Palais des Congrès-Strasbourg, 1962-64 Louis I. Kahn, Adler H
