Akasaka Benkei Bashi (Benkei Bridge, Akasaka)

Breathtaking print "Akasaka Benkei Bashi" (Benkei Bridge, Akasaka) is by Kawase Hasui (1883 - 1957). Original first edition with the appropriate Watanabe "C" seal in the right margin. Signed Hasui with red artist seal "Sui" in the lower right of the image. The left margin is title in Japanese and in the lower left margin is the date "Showa 6 nen 4 gatsu saku" (Printed in April 1931).   Highly detailed carving and beautiful colors. Very soft and subtle spring image. People on the bridge are taking a break with beautiful spring scenery.
