Original first edition with the appropriate Watanabe "C" seal in the right margin. Signed Hasui with red artist seal "sui" in the lower left of the image. Left margin is title in Japanese and in the lower left margin is the date "Showa 9 nen saku" (Printed 1934). This is NOT a reprint or a later edition. Watanabe "C" seal is used from 1929 to 1942. The seal is an appropriate seal for First Edition this print. The "C" seal is also known as the "sausage seal". This print is fairly scarce and difficult to obtain. Beautiful "bokashi" shading to the sky, mountain, and water. Skillful realistic reflection on the water's surface. Great colors and finely carved.
