Patio Door Necklace
The Patio Door Necklace is part of an exclusive jewelry series created in collaboration with the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. This piece was inspired by In the Patio No. IV (1948) and Patio with Black Door (1955). O'Keeffe painted her Patio Door series primarily while living at her home in Abiquiú, New Mexico. The house, built in the Spanish Colonial style with Native American influences, featured a large wooden door which she became deeply fascinated by. She painted this door repeatedly, exploring its shapes, shadows, and shifting light—often reducing the composition to minimalist forms and earthy tones. These works are considered part of her later exploration of abstraction and architectural subject matter. Check out the entire collection here.
