The Hengist is a one-of-a-kind collectible in our highly sought after Salter-Kiku collaboration knives, perfect for knife enthusiasts and collectors. The OU-31 steel blade features the same Appleseed grind found on traditional Japanese swords. Exceptionally tough, extremely sharp, and easy to sharpen. This blade was made by renowned blade-maker and world famous grinder, Kiku Matsuda. Includes a custom-fitted Kydex sheath for belt or webbing for secure carry, and a handsome custom, handcrafted Hawaiian curly koa presentation box with removable velvet-lined fitted knife and sheath holder. For a striking display, the box lid is trimmed with black wenge and perfectly complements the distinctive hand-contoured Hawaiian curly koa and Mozambique ebony knife handle.
