The SAM IO Training Kits include components needed to simulate intraosseous accesswith the SAM IO system. Every kit includes a nylon Training Case, Driver, three TrainingNeedles, Stabilizer, and Adaptor. Simulation Sawbones, including the proximalhumerus, proximal tibia, and distal tibia, are also available in the SAM IO Training Kits.All included parts are for training purposes only. SAM IO is a manually operated intraosseous access system. Catheter placement isachieved by continuously actuating (repeatedly compressing) the driver’s triggerassembly while gently guiding the needle assembly into position. Repeated, fulltrigger actuation creates rotational spin of the needle assembly which, whencombined with gentle downward pressure, results in controlled IO placement.
