Aged for 14 months in ex-bourbon casks, this agave spirit is layered and complex, with a refined taste. Caballito Cerrero was founded in 1950 by Don Alfonso Jiménez Rosales, who founded Herradura. After a family dispute with Herradura, Don Alfonso started Caballito Cerrero, "the one that doesn't need horseshoes." The agave spirit is produced at the Santa Rita factory, built in 1873 by Don Alfonso's father-in-law.
